State-wide Day of Comfort Observance
|

Sunday, December 16th
Join the State Chapter at the Florida Masonic Home at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 16th for a state-wide Day of Comfort observance.
We will be visiting with the residents, attending Church with them (at 10:00 a.m.) and presenting the donations from the various Chapters to the Masonic Home Foundation for the Tree of Life in the lobby.
We hope to see as many Brothers and their families that day as possible.

Mini-Conclave 2008
|
|
January 19-21
Mini-Conclave 2008 will be held at the Surfside Hotel (3209 S Atlantic Daytona Beach Shores map), Saturday, January 19 through Monday, January 21. Any Chapter bringing 3 Candidates not previously reported on a Form 10 will have the Candidates registration fee waived along with 1 Active DeMolay - that's 4 FREE!Sporting events for Mini include Flag Football, Basketball, Doubles Eight Ball, and Chess. With the winners of the State Basketball tournament eligible to represent Florida at the National tournament in Louisville in April. Ritual events will include the DeMolay Degree 4th Section (team), and individual events the Ceremony of Light, Flower Talk, Individual Preceptors, Magnificent Seven, and Examination Queries. You may download the registration packet from the Florida DeMolay web site. All reservations must be postmarked by January 12th. We hope to see you on the beach! |

Candidates for the Office of State Scribe

Election at Mini-Conclave
Two brothers have declared their interest in serving the State Chapter as State Scribe for the 2008 calendar year.
Both candidates have declared that they have the requisite computer skills for the position, and that they will be willing to travel in support of the State Chapter functions around the state. They both have the endorsement of their parents, their Chapter, and their Advisory Council to run for this office.
Brendon Blankinship (Greater Titusville Chapter): Brother Brendon is Master Councilor (2nd term) of Greater Titusville Chapter, and has been a member of DeMolay since 2005, he is a Sophmore at Titusville High School. He has received his Representative DeMolay, Lamp of Knowledge, and Past Master Councilor Meritorious Service Award (PMC-MSA) for his first term as Master Councilor. He is on track to receive his PMC-MSA for his second term as well. Brother Brendon currently serves the State Chapter as State Seventh Preceptor.
Greggory Jacobs (South Miami Chapter): Brother Greggory is the Master Councilor of South Miami Chapter, and has been a member of DeMolay for three years, and is a Sophmore at Western High School. He has received his Representative DeMolay and Lamp of Knowledge, and indicates that he is working to receive his Past Master Councilor Meritorious Service Award (PMC-MSA) for his current term as Master Councilor. Brother Greggory currently serves the State Chapter as State Senior Deacon.
Your 3 Chapter delegates will be casting their ballots for State Scribe at the upcoming Mini-Conclave. So take some time to get to know these two brothers and select the best candidate for the job.

2007 Grand Lodge Youth Award Nominations
|
|
It is time once again for every Chapter, Assembly, and Bethel to submit their nomination to the Grand Lodge for the 2007 Grand Lodge Youth Awards. All Chapters, Assemblies, and Bethels can submit one member's name to receive this prestigious award from the Grand Master of Masons in Florida.
Advisory Councils should make their selections, and nominations should be submitted as soon as possible. The Award Certificates and pins will be send by the Grand Lodge for presentation at a public event later in the year.
If you have not received the form from your District Youth Chairman, or DDGM, you may download a nomination form from the Florida DeMolay web site. |
