Florida DeMolay offers its congratulations to Brother Lonnie Cox of Biscayne Bay Chapter, and Dad Larry Williamson of Bahia Chapter who were selected as the “DeMolay of the Year” and “Advisor of the Year” respectfully for 2008.
Brother Lonnie has shown outstanding leadership and commitment to DeMolay, and has helped to mold Biscayne Bay Chapter into an outstanding example of DeMolay in South Florida. His care and concern for his Brothers, and his desire to ensure that DeMolay is always portrayed in the best light has earned him this most coveted honor.
Dad Larry Williamson has been a dedicated Advisor, Chairman, and Chapter Dad for Bahia Chapter for a number of years. He has also served for the last several years as the District Youth Chairman for District 17, and has worked hard to get all the youth involved in programs across the district. As with many Advisors, Dad Larry is a Senior DeMolay from Bahia Chapter, having joined at 13 in 1972 (right after the age was lowered from 14 at Supreme Council that year). Dad Williamson is a Past Master Councilor, Chevalier, and holder of the DeMolay Legion of Honor.
