At the Grand Lodge of Florida that closed on May 28th, the delegates overwhelmingly approved a resolution to allow 18 year olds the right to petition to join the Lodge, lowering the minimum age from 21.
Over 95% of the delegates at the session voted in favor of the measure, which was supported by the Executive Staff of Florida DeMolay and a number of DeMolay Advisors who were present at the Grand Lodge session. The legislation takes affect immediately.
The Grand Lodge of Florida also launched a new web site just in time for the session in Orlando. You can check it out at http://www.glflamason.org/
